The Opportunity

Cleared Professional Services is an Australian-owned company specialising in delivering IT solutions to mission-critical environments for Federal Government, Defence, and National Security customers.

As a strategic partner backed by Broadcom, we are expanding our team and seeking VMware Consultants and Architects with deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) to design, implement, and optimise virtualised infrastructure within highly secure environments. This role involves hands-on engineering, solution architecture, and client engagement to deliver VCF platforms aligned with strategic program objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and deploy VCF-based infrastructure across secure environments

• Configure and manage vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, and SDDC Manager components

• Lead integration of VCF with existing Defence systems and cloud platforms

• Perform health checks, upgrades, and lifecycle management of VCF stacks

• Develop technical documentation, implementation guides, and SOPs

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support delivery and sustainment

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers

• Ensure compliance with ASD ISM and Defence ICT standards

Education/Certifications Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

• VMware certifications (VCP, VCAP, VCF, VCDX) highly desirable

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Proven experience delivering and managing VMware Cloud Foundation environments

• Strong understanding of virtualisation, networking, and storage architecture

• Hands-on expertise with vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, and SDDC Manager

• Familiarity with automation tools (Aria Automation, Ansible, Terraform)

• Experience working within Defence or secure government environments

• Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills
